All of our products are lake tested to be effective. We try to put only the best products out there on our website. For instance, on one occasion, I was fishing with the Mr. Jigger Rod Holder and had the rod sitting balanced in its cradle on the holding device. I had looked away for a few minutes and looking back, found the rod tipped toward the hole. The holder is designed so that it will keep the rod from coming off when a fish bites while unattended. If you have your drag set correctly, it will set the hook, also. In my case, the hook was set and I landed an 11 inch crappie.
